Creador founder and CEO Brahmal Vasudevan

Malaysia-based private equity firm Creador’s founder and CEO Brahmal Vasudevan has emerged as the substantial holder of local construction and property form Gabungan AQRS Bhd, based on a filing on Bursa Malaysia dated yesterday.

Vasudevan now holds a 5.07 percent stake or 23.11 million shares in the company. He bought 178,700 shares, bringing his total stake in AQRS to 5.07 percent.

Post transaction, he has 0.44 per cent direct and 4.63 per cent indirect stakes in AQRS.

Vasudevan founded Creador in 2011, and has made 27 investments across South and Southeast Asia.The firm specializes in long-term investments and growth-oriented companies.

Creador recently told this portal that the firm is looking to hits the first close for its fourth fund Creador IV at $450 million in early July and final close by end of this year.
