Shinhan Bank Vietnam And Van Lang University Sign Comprehensive Partnership Agreement

South Korean lender Shinhan Bank Vietnam and Van Lang University have officially announced the signing of their comprehensive strategic partnership on August 7 in order to bring modern financial products and banking services to students, faculty, and staff as well as to contribute to the high training quality of Van Lang University.

Within the scope of this partnership, Shinhan Bank will work with Van Lang University to launch the tuition fee collecting system called “School Banking” to make students’ tuition fee payments more convenient and safe.

This is the first system in the market to be integrated into Van Lang University’s ERP system to record and manage student revenues automatically. Concurrently, the bank is planning to provide credit support for facility construction and improvement for the university in the near future.

Additionally, Shinhan Bank will coordinate with Van Lang University to provide credit facilities to students at a low interest rate and present active financial services, including credit package with preferential interest rates, credit cards, as well as payroll accounts to lecturers and university staff.

Especially, Shinhan Bank will offer internships and career opportunities for Van Lang University’s students after their graduation. On the basis of mutual partnership, Van Lang University will support to introduce Shinhan Bank’s products and services to lecturers, students, as well as university staff to expand its distribution network.

With the aim of marking the strategic partnership, at the ceremony Shin Dong Min, CEO of Shinhan Bank Vietnam had the honour to be certified as an honourable member of the Advisory Council of Van Lang University while Nguyen Cao Tri, chair of Van Lang University was also certified as an honourable member of the Senior Advisory Council of Shinhan Bank.

These certificates were to recognise the valuable contributions of both Shinhan Bank and Van Lang University to this strategic partnership and the two sides’ expectations of a future sustainable cooperation.

“The partnership is part of the bank’s comprehensive development strategy and opened up the long-term cooperation between Shinhan Bank and Van Lang University. Apart from mutual support for the further growth of both sides, this partnership also aims to promote training quality of Van Lang University and bring students with more opportunities for skills and career development after their graduation,” Min emphasized.

Nguyen Cao Tri also added, “With the potentials and strengths of each party, this strategic partnership opens up valuable opportunities to both Van Lang University and Shinhan Bank which is the foundation for more intensive and extensive cooperation in financial programmes, the policies to improve training quality, and bring more benefits to students and lecturers, which is great for our development.”
