SCIC Wants To Buy One Million MBB Shares

SCIC Investment Single Member Company Limited (SIC) has announced to register to buy one million shares of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MBBank, stock code: MBB). The transaction is expected to be implemented from July 30th to August 28th according to order matching or put through methods.

Previously, in April, SIC also registered to buy 1 million of MBB shares but it was unsuccessful. SIC currently holds only 13 shares of MBB after selling nearly 1.8 million shares in early January.

Vu Thai Huyen, member of the Board of directors of MBBank, is currently representing the contribution of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC, owner of SIC) at MBBank.

Currently, SCIC is one of the major shareholders of MBBank which holds nearly 227.3 million shares of the bank, equivalent to an ownership rate of 9.58%.

Closing the session on July 27th, MBB share price was 15,350 dong per share. It is estimated that at the current price zone, SIC will have to spend about 15 billion dong on this deal.
