SBV Net Injects VND 5.5 Trillion Into The Market

The bond market newsletter for the week from April 22nd to May 3rd recently released by Bao Viet Securities Company (BVSC) pointed out that the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) net injected five trillion dong via bill channel. Specifically, the SBV newly issued 49.998 trillion dong bills on seven-day term at interest rate of three percent per annum, while there were 54.998 trillion dong of bills matured in the week.

On the Open Market Operation (OMO), the SBV also net injected 515 billion dong. In particular, 306 billion dong were withdrawn while 821 billion dong were newly pumped.

For both OMO and bill channels, the SBV net injected 5.515 trillion dong. So far, the OMO in circulation is 515 billion dong and zero bill in circulation.

From the beginning of the year until now, the SBV net withdrew a total of 55.993 trillion dong via OMO and bill channels

According to BVSC, SBV net injected and net withdrew alternatively depending on market liquidity developments.
