Reference Exchange Rate Up By 5 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set its reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,445 VND/USD on the morning of March 16, up by 5 VND from the day ago.

With the current +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is 23,118 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,774 VND per USD.

Major commercial banks made no changes to their rates.

Vietcombank and BIDV offered 22,725 VND (buying) and 22,795 VND (selling), per USD, unchanged from March 15.

Vietinbank cut its rates by 5 VND, offering 22,725 VND (buying) and 22,795 VND (selling), per USD.
