The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate on June 14 at 22,583 VND/USD, up 5 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,260 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,906 VND/USD.
The reference exchange rate has been on the rise since the beginning of this week (June 11), gaining a total 25 VND so far this week.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw mixed fluctuations.
Vietcombank raised both rates by 5 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,780 VND/USD (buying) and the selling rate at 22,850 VND/USD (selling).
Meanwhile, BIDV cut 5 VND from both rates, listing the buying rate at 22,770 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,840 VND/USD.
Techcombank adjusted both rates up 5 VND, buying the greenback at 22,760 VND/USD and selling at 22,860 VND/USD.
