Reference Exchange Rate Up 5 Dong

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,595 dong/US dollar on May 31, up five dong from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,265 dong/US dollar and the floor rate is 21,919 dong/US dollar.

The opening hour rates at major commercial banks fell sharply.

Vietcombank adjusted the greenback price down 15 dong from yesterday, listing buying rate at 22,795 dong/US dollar and selling rate at 22,865 dong/US dollar.

At Vietinbank, the greenback was also listed at 22,795-22,865 dong/US dollar (buying-selling), down 17 dong.

Meanwhile, BIDV also listed the buying-selling prices at 22,795-22,865 dong/US dollar respectively, down 15 dong.
