Reference Exchange Rate Goes Up On February 22

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,433 VND/USD on February 22, up 10 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,106 VND/USD, and the floor rate 21,762 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates listed at some major commercial banks also went up. Vietcombank raised both rates by 15 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,680 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,750 VND/USD.

The rates at Vietinbank were set at 22,682 VND/USD (buying) and 22,752 VND/USD (selling), both up 22 VND from the rates on February 21.

Meanwhile, BIDV maintained both rates unchanged at 22,670 VND/USD (buying) and 22,740 VND/USD (selling).
