The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,492 VND/USD on April 13, up 15 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,170 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,726 VND/USD.

However, the opening hour rates at major commercial banks saw no changes from April 12.

Vietcombank and BIDV maintained their rates unchanged at 22,755 VND/USD (buying) and 22,825 VND/USD (selling).

The rates listed at Vietinbank also stayed the same as on April 12, at 22,752 VND/USD (buying) and 22,822 VND/USD (selling).

This week the daily reference rate was down for the first two days but then the trend was reversed with an upward adjustment on Wednesday. The State Bank kept the rate unchanged on Thursday before raising it again on the last working day of the week.
