MoMo Can Be Used As A Payment Method For App Store And Other Apple Services In Vietnam

From September 9th 2019, MoMo electronic wallet (e-wallet) can be used as a payment method for Apple services in Vietnam.

Users can use their MoMo e-wallet accounts to pay for transactions on the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV app, iTune Store, and iCloud storage, and more.

Adding MoMo e-wallet to ID Apple’s payment methods brings new options to pay for Apple services without the need to use a credit card, while still allows one-touch payment from all Apple devices. MoMo e-wallet does not share information of your banking information with Apple, ensuring simplicity and privacy.

Users can manage payment information for Apple ID in Settings on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, or on a Mac or PC.

Starting operation in 2007, MoMo is a pioneer in mobile payment with the mission of using technology to provide equal opportunities to Vietnamese in accessing financial products and services. MoMo e-wallet is receiving support from the world’s leading financial investors such as Goldman Sachs, Standard Chartered Private Equity (SCPE) and Warburg Pincus.

MoMo currently has direct links with 21 banks. MoMo users can pay for daily utilities such as electricity/ water/ internet/ cable TV; buy air tickets/ train tickets; make payment to Vinasun taxi; buy movie tickets of all cinemas; book a maid service; buy fresh flowers; pay instalment loans of all financial companies. Customers can also use MoMo to make payment at more than 100,000 MoMo accepting points such as Gongcha, The Coffee House, Al Fresco’s, Mon Hue, Hoang Yen, Co.op Mart, Circle K, Ministop, etc.

In particular, every payment made through MoMo e-wallet is automatically rewarded by the system. This is one of the preferential policies to create habits for users to use e-payment methods.

MoMo users have complete peace of mind because MoMo currently meets the most stringent standards in the international banking and finance industry: Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) a security standard established by PCI Security Standards Council) including members such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International. In Vietnam, MoMo is the first e-wallet to have the highest level of certification: PCI DSS (Level 1).

Simultaneously, MoMo e-wallet applies advanced and outstanding authentication technologies, such as two-factor authentication, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)/ Transport Layer Security (TLS), Tokenisation.
