LienVietPostBank Raises Charter Capital To Nearly VND10 Trillion

On March 16th 2020, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Decision 414/QD-NHNN on amending the Establishment and Operation License of Lien Viet Post Commercial Joint Stock Bank (LienVietPostBank). Accordingly, the bank’s new charter capital is 9,769,483,190,000 dong.

This new charter capital level of LienVietPostBank is about three times higher than the charter capital at the time of the bank’s establishment (3.3 trillion dong in March 2008).

Year 2020 marked the 12th year of operation of LienVietPostBank. By the end of 2019, the bank’s total assets reached nearly 202 trillion dong, of which outstanding loans to market 1 reached nearly141 trillion dong, and mobilisation from market 1 was over 166 trillion dong, exceeding the yearly plan. The bank’s safety ratios were ensured in accordance with the regulations of the SBV.

In addition to impressive business results, to carry out the strategy of becoming a leading retail bank, LienVietPostBank continues to focus on developing transaction networks to remote rural districts across the country. In 2019, the bank completed and put into operation an additional 147 transaction offices. In early January 2020, the bank opened another transaction office, raising the total number of branches and transaction offices to nearly 540 units, making it a private joint stock bank with the largest network in Vietnam at the present time.

It is expected that in 2020, LienVietPostBank will completed the coverage of transaction offices to all districts in 63 provincies and cities.
